About this technical signage Project Managers job

In this technical signage Project Manager job, you’ll be responsible for managing several key accounts.

You’ll support clients, helping to develop practical signage and graphic solutions for their store concepts, and manage the sourcing, delivery and installation of products, to complete the scheme.

The design studio is based in Manchester; however hybrid working is available, and you can expect national travel for client, and site, meetings.

Key responsibilities:

In this signage project manager’s job role, your key responsibilities will include:

• Full cycle project management from concept to completion
• Client Meetings, taking & developing briefs
• Site surveys to determine scope of works, & create estimates
• Obtaining client sign off on proposals
• Liaising with internal & external design teams
• Sourcing & managing supply chain partners, production & installation subcontractors
• Budget control, project sign-off & invoicing etc

About you

To be considered for this signage Project Managers job, you’ll need:

• Sign industry Project Management experience, ideally managing multi-site retail projects
• Technical understanding of signage specifications, materials & finishes
• Understanding of signage production & installation methods
• Well presented with good written & verbal communication skills
• Organised, disciplined & able to multitask across numerous projects simultaneously
• UK Driver’s license, able & willing to travel nationally for client / site meetings

About this Project Director job

This Project Director role has been created to support the growth of our client’s international signage consultancy. It offers you the opportunity to play a pivotal role in the consultancies continuous global growth.

As they expand their global footprint, our client is looking for a commercially astute, high-performing project leader to head up the Projects Team and drive the strategic delivery, and commercial results, of major international signage rollout programs.

Key responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

• Contribute to the global strategic direction of the business by identifying opportunities for expansion, partnerships, and innovation in international markets.
• Support tendering and business development, by contributing technical and commercial expertise.
• Represent the company at international industry events, client forums, and commercial presentations.

Project Delivery Leadership

• Oversee the successful planning, execution, and delivery of international signage projects, from contract award to final installation.
• Lead local and regional project management teams, ensuring alignment with global standards, timelines, and budgets.
• Ensure seamless coordination between internal departments, design, manufacturing, logistics, installation, as well as external partners.
• Drive innovation, consistency, and efficiency in project delivery across all global markets.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

• Serve as the senior point of contact for global clients, consultants, contractors, and supply chain partners.
• Build and maintain long-term, strategic relationships with key accounts and international stakeholders.
• Attend global client meetings, project briefings, and site visits to ensure requirements are fully understood and met.

Commercial Management

• Take full ownership of the commercial success of the international projects portfolio.
• Approve project budgets, negotiate contract terms, and manage risks across multiple jurisdictions.
• Track financial performance, ensuring margin protection, cost control, and value engineering.

Governance & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and quality control procedures across different countries.
• Champion a culture of safety, sustainability, and ethical business practice globally.

About you

So, to be considered for this Project Director job opportunity, you’ll need:

• Proven track record in a senior project or commercial role within the signage, construction, fit-out, or branding industries.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Culturally aware and adept at managing diverse teams across different countries and time zones.
• Willingness to travel internationally.

Advantageous 

These additional skills and experience would be advantageous:

• Experience managing multi-country or global project rollouts.
• Strong commercial acumen, including experience with international contracts, budgeting, and cost control.
• Understanding of signage manufacturing, installation, and logistics on a global scale.
• Degree in Project Management, Construction, Engineering, Business, or related field.
• Project management certifications, e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, APM.
• In addition to English, French, Spanish or German, would be useful but are not essential.
